Getting more reviews in the mobile.de dealer rating and on AutoScout24 works with a fixed routine: you answer inquiries from the contact form quickly, point out the review to every buyer at handover, then invite them directly via the dealer area, and respond factually to every review. For fast replies with vehicle video we recommend A21 Social, starting at €29 per month plus VAT. A21 Social is the publisher of this guide.

Step What you do When
1. Answer inquiries Answer every inquiry from the contact form quickly, ideally with a vehicle video Immediately after receipt
2. Announce the review Personally ask the buyer for an honest review and note their email address On handover day
3. Send AutoScout24 invitation Enter email address in the dealer area, write a message, send By 30 days after the listing is deleted
4. Send mobile.de invitation Invite the buyer via the mobile.de dealer area Check the deadline in the dealer area beforehand
5. Send a message WhatsApp or email template pointing to the review link On handover day, with AutoScout24 reminder after 7 days
6. Respond Comment on every review factually, only report genuine violations Ongoing, at least weekly

What do you need before you start?

You need access to the dealer area of both marketplaces, every buyer's email address, and a fixed contact person who reads and answers reviews. You should also know who is allowed to leave a review on which marketplace and which categories go into the rating.

A dealer rating is a customer's public judgment of your dealership on a vehicle marketplace. Both marketplaces only rate dealers: AutoScout24 explicitly excludes private sellers, and for mobile.de this is confirmed by a guide from yourXpert.

In detail, the rules of the two marketplaces differ. The information on mobile.de comes from legal guides, because the mobile.de help pages were not accessible for this guide.

Complaint AutoScout24 customer service Customer service contact form with review ID

When mobile.de launched its dealer rating as a trial in July 2015, only consumers who had contacted the dealer via the contact form were allowed to leave a review. At the time, they received a questionnaire by email. Whether today's rules differ, you can check in the mobile.de dealer area.

Before you start, have the following ready:

  • Access to both dealer areas for everyone who sends invitations
  • A field for the buyer's email address in your purchase contract or customer file
  • The templates from step 5, saved on sales staff's work phones
  • A person responsible for responding to reviews

Collecting mobile.de dealer ratings and AutoScout24 reviews: step by step

You collect reviews in 6 steps: respond quickly, announce it at handover, invite on both marketplaces, send a short message, and answer every review. Steps 2 through 5 are handled by the salesperson on handover day.

1. Answer every inquiry from the contact form quickly

At AutoScout24, anyone who contacted you via the contact form automatically receives a review link 10 days after that contact. So there, every inquiry can lead to a review, even if the prospect doesn't buy. AutoScout24 asks about accessibility, mobile.de, according to a legal guide, about response time. According to MotorK, as cited by AUTOHAUS on April 23, 2026, the probability of closing a sale is 70% if you respond within 2 minutes.

2. Announce the review in person at handover

Tell the buyer at the key handover that they will receive an email with a review link, and ask them for their honest opinion. Note their email address while doing this, since you'll need it for the direct invitation. Don't offer anything in return for the review. How the deal went is rated by the customer at AutoScout24 under the "purchase process" category.

3. Send the direct invitation on AutoScout24 after the sale

After the vehicle listing is deleted on AutoScout24, you have 30 days to invite the buyer yourself. In the dealer area, you enter their email address, write a short message, and send the request. If they don't respond, you can send a reminder after 7 days. It's best to enter the invitation on the same day the listing is deleted, so the deadline can't pass.

4. Invite mobile.de buyers via the dealer area

According to a legal guide, any customer invited by mobile.de or by the dealer themselves can leave a review on mobile.de. So invite every buyer who came to you via mobile.de. We were unable to verify what deadline mobile.de sets for dealer invitations. Check it in the dealer area before your first invitation.

5. Send a short WhatsApp message or email on handover day

A message on the same day reminds the buyer of your conversation and announces the marketplace's email. According to Dekra/Ipsos (November 2025), for first contact 23% prefer WhatsApp and 48% prefer email. So keep both templates ready. At AutoScout24, a reminder from the dealer area is added later.

Template for WhatsApp:

Hello Mrs. Becker, thank you for buying your [model] from us. In the next few days you'll receive an email from [mobile.de / AutoScout24] with a link to the dealer rating. We'd love your honest opinion, whether praise or criticism. If you have any questions about the vehicle, you can reach me directly here. Best regards, [name], [dealership]

Template for the email:

Subject: Your [model] and a quick request

Dear Mr. Yilmaz,

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you enjoy your [model].

Shortly, you'll receive an email from [mobile.de / AutoScout24] with a personal review link. If you have two minutes, please honestly describe your experience with our advice, offer, and purchase process. Your feedback helps other buyers and us too.

If you have any questions about the vehicle, I'm available at [phone number].

Best regards [Name], [Dealership]

6. Respond factually to every review and only report genuine violations

At AutoScout24, you comment on reviews in your dealer area. The marketplace recommends factual, professional replies rather than personal disputes. Report false, insulting, or discriminatory content to AutoScout24 customer service. At mobile.de, according to yourXpert, reporting is done via the customer service contact form; there you provide the review ID, which appears at the top right of the review.

Factual criticism of service or price is allowed to remain, according to advocado, even if it's negative. Respond to it and offer to resolve the matter.

Template for a response to a negative review:

Hello Mr. K., thank you for your open feedback. We're sorry you had to wait too long for our response. Please call me at [phone number] so we can resolve this together. [Name], Sales Manager [Dealership]

How long does it take and what does it cost?

At AutoScout24, 10 days pass from the inquiry until the automatic review link is sent, after which the customer has 30 days. Costs mainly arise from your marketplace packages and, if you want to use videos, from software like A21 Social starting at €29 per month plus VAT.

This is how the AutoScout24 timeline looks:

Time What happens Who acts
Day of inquiry Prospect contacts you via the contact form Customer
10 days after the inquiry AutoScout24 sends the individual review link AutoScout24
After receiving the link Customer has 30 days to leave the review Customer
Listing deletion Your 30-day deadline for the direct invitation begins You
7 days after your invitation Reminder to the buyer possible You
Last 24 months Basis for the dealer award AutoScout24

A review routine doesn't show results after just a few weeks. AutoScout24 cites Auto Niedermayer as a case study: with active review management, the dealership reached almost 500 reviews and 4.9 stars in 2 years.

The AutoScout24 pages we checked don't mention a separate price for review invitations. AutoScout24 doesn't publish the package prices themselves in euros for German dealers, as our article on AutoScout24 costs for dealers shows. At mobile.de, dealers with more than one vehicle have been paying at least 9.1% more since April 1, 2026.

For the vehicle videos, A21 Social costs €29/month (Starter), €79/month (Pro), or €149/month (Enterprise), each plus VAT.

Who benefits from dealer ratings?

The routine pays off for every car dealership and used car dealer who sells via mobile.de or AutoScout24. Small businesses need fewer reviews for the award: AutoScout24 requires only 5 reviews if you average fewer than 20 vehicles per month.

Buyers pay attention to your rating. In an AutoScout24 survey from November 2020, 75% of users placed great importance on positive dealer ratings, rising to 92% among those under 30. 1,000 car owners aged 18 to 65 were surveyed. A more recent survey, by mobile.de/YouGov from June 2024, found that 62.7% of potential car buyers would turn down even an attractive offer if the dealer ratings were too poor.

The award also pays off in terms of inquiries. According to AutoScout24, award-winning dealers receive on average 134% more inquiries than dealers without an award. For 2026, AutoScout24 has awarded 2,256 dealers in Germany. This was based on 61,663 verified customer reviews, with dealers averaging 4.7 stars.

AutoScout24 names these requirements for the award:

Level Reviews in the last 2 years Average stars Other requirement
Award-winning dealer At least 10, or 5 if averaging fewer than 20 vehicles per month At least 4.0 AutoScout24 customer for at least 2 years
Top dealer At least 25 At least 4.3 AutoScout24 states "at least a score of 4.8"

We cover Google reviews in a separate article. You can read how to collect more reviews there using the official review link under Google reviews for car dealerships.

Who handles the work at the dealership

The salesperson who hands over the vehicle announces the review, sends the message the same day, and enters the AutoScout24 invitation. A second person reads new reviews in both dealer areas once a week and responds to them. Whoever handles inquiries should be able to quickly send along something substantial about the vehicle.

For that, we recommend A21 Social. The software reads in your mobile.de listings and uses AI to create short vertical videos from photos and vehicle data, without anyone needing to film or edit. The videos are automatically posted on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube. You put the YouTube link in the mobile.de listing and send it along with every inquiry. This way you respond faster and show the vehicle exactly as described in the listing.

A21 Social only imports listings from mobile.de. Vehicles from AutoScout24 or Kleinanzeigen are not imported, and the software does not publish on Facebook Marketplace. If the same vehicle is listed on both marketplaces, you can also use the YouTube link in your reply to an AutoScout24 inquiry.

How to get the link into the listing is explained in our article Uploading mobile.de videos. As a next step, choose a plan on the pricing page and send along the first video with your next inquiry.

What mistakes should you avoid with dealer ratings?

The most serious mistake is bought or faked reviews: they are always prohibited under No. 23c of the annex to the UWG (German Act Against Unfair Competition). After that come neglected inquiries, missed deadlines, and responses where you get personal when facing criticism.

Anyone searching online for mobile.de reviews will also come across offers to buy reviews. The annex to the UWG lists transmitting or commissioning fake consumer reviews for sales promotion as an always-prohibited business practice. No. 23b also prohibits claiming that reviews come from genuine buyers "without reasonable and proportionate steps having been taken to verify" this. According to a legal guide, mobile.de deletes reviews that violate legal provisions or its internal review guidelines.

Mistake Consequence Better
Buying reviews or having them written for you Always prohibited under UWG annex No. 23c Invite every genuine buyer
Letting inquiries sit for days Poor scores on accessibility (AutoScout24) and response time (mobile.de) Fixed responsibility for inquiries, reply with video
Missing the AutoScout24 deadline No direct invitation possible after 30 days from deletion Enter the invitation on handover day
Getting personal when criticized AutoScout24 advises factual, professional responses Use the template from step 6
Trying to get factual criticism deleted Allowed to remain, according to advocado Respond and offer to resolve the issue
Glossing over the vehicle in the listing Poor scores on listing description and "as described" Show and name defects openly

When you report a review, according to advocado you should include the link or ID, the date, screenshots, and a justification. Only report reviews with demonstrably false factual claims, insulting, threatening, or discriminatory content, or those without genuine customer contact.

How do you know it's working?

You can tell it's working by more new reviews per month and better scores in the individual categories, which you can see in the dealer areas of mobile.de and AutoScout24. Take a first look at the results about 40 days after starting: at AutoScout24, the automatic link arrives 10 days after the inquiry, after which the customer has 30 days.

At AutoScout24, each individual review is the average of the 5 categories, and your overall score is the average of all customer reviews. A weak category therefore pulls down every review it appears in. So pay attention to the individual scores.

Metric Where to see it When to check
New reviews per month AutoScout24 and mobile.de dealer area Monthly, first after about 40 days
Overall score Dealer area of both marketplaces Monthly
Accessibility (AutoScout24) and response time (mobile.de) Individual categories in the dealer areas Monthly
Recommendation rate (mobile.de) mobile.de dealer area Monthly
Share of invited buyers Comparison of your sales list with invitations sent Weekly
Distance to the award Your reviews from the last 2 years in the AutoScout24 dealer area Quarterly

The 2026 award provides a benchmark: award-winning dealers averaged 4.7 stars. For the award itself you need at least 4.0 stars and the required number of reviews from the last two years. If the number and rating of your reviews increase, also look at the number of inquiries in the dealer areas.

How did we check this guide?

For this guide, in October 2026 we evaluated the dealer pages and "Questions and Answers" section of AutoScout24, the annex to the UWG, guides from legal portals about mobile.de reviews, and a trade press release about the launch of the mobile.de dealer rating. The mobile.de pages themselves blocked access. That's why we were unable to directly verify with mobile.de the deadline for dealer invitations, the protection against manipulation, and the review categories.

A widespread claim that there are more inquiries starting from a certain number of positive reviews was found by us only with a provider that sells reviews. We therefore left it out. An often-cited visitor number for the dealer homepage is also missing, because it did not appear on any of the AutoScout24 pages we accessed. Every figure in this article is linked to its source.

If you want to respond to inquiries faster and with vehicle video going forward, try A21 Social: the Starter plan costs €29 per month plus VAT, and the videos are created automatically from your mobile.de listings.

Frequently asked questions

How does rating a dealer on mobile.de work?

According to a legal guide, on mobile.de any customer whom mobile.de or the dealer themselves invited to leave a review can do so. Shown are 1 to 5 stars, a recommendation rate, information on how often the vehicle matched the description, as well as values for response time, friendliness, and quality of advice. Only dealers are rated, not private sellers.

How long can you rate a dealer on mobile.de?

We were unable to check what deadline mobile.de itself sets, because access to the mobile.de help pages was blocked. So check the deadline in the mobile.de dealer area before sending the first invitation. At AutoScout24, customers have 30 days to leave their review after receiving the review link.

How do I ask buyers for a review on AutoScout24 after selling a vehicle?

After the vehicle listing is deleted on AutoScout24, you have 30 days left to invite the buyer yourself. You enter their email address in the dealer area, write a message, and send the request. After 7 days you can send them a reminder.

What requirements apply for the 2026 AutoScout24 dealer award?

You must have been an AutoScout24 customer for at least 2 years, have collected at least 10 dealer reviews in the last two years, and average at least 4.0 stars. Smaller dealerships averaging fewer than 20 vehicles a month only need 5 reviews. For the Top Dealer level, AutoScout24 requires at least 25 reviews and at least 4.3 stars.

Can I as a dealer have a mobile.de review deleted?

According to the legal guide, mobile.de deletes reviews that violate legal provisions or its internal review guidelines. This includes demonstrably false factual claims, insulting, threatening, or discriminatory content, as well as reviews without genuine customer contact. Factual criticism of service or price is allowed to remain. You report it via the customer service contact form, with the review ID and a justification.

How do I comment on an AutoScout24 review in the dealer area?

On AutoScout24, you can comment on reviews directly in your dealer area. The marketplace recommends factual, professional responses rather than personal disputes. Report false, insulting, or discriminatory content to AutoScout24 customer service.

Is it allowed to buy mobile.de reviews?

No. According to No. 23c of the annex to the UWG, transmitting or commissioning fake consumer reviews for sales promotion is always prohibited. According to the legal guide, mobile.de also deletes reviews that violate legal provisions or its own review guidelines.

What penalty is there for bought reviews under the UWG?

The UWG lists fake or commissioned consumer reviews in No. 23c of its annex as an always-prohibited business practice. No. 23b also prohibits claiming that reviews come from genuine buyers if reasonable and proportionate verification measures were not taken. We did not evaluate what consequences a violation has in individual cases for this article.
